Holiday season is here, we start spend more time with family and friends, attend holiday parties and consume lots of unhealthy delicious foods.
Now all these can lead you to a very relaxed place in your healthy journey, you start to not workout and make unhealthy food choices. It now becomes easier for you to blame the holiday season or the weather or even “wait till January 1st” .Don”t be that victim this year!

Do these 8 easy things to help you prevent weight gain.

1. Each one eat two: it is easier for you to eat unhealthy meals during the holidays, but you don’t have to eat an unhealthy meal all the time, now, for each unhealthy meal you eat, try as much as possible to eat at least two healthy meals. This will help you stay on a healthy diet and get more nutrients.

2. Bring a healthy meal to share: During parties, you can bring your own meal to share, now you are guaranteed you are going to eat healthy meal at that dinner. This also helps remain full and not eat other foods at the party. You can easily order a chef deigned, doctor approved meal

3. Try skipping seconds at a buffet or going on an easy diet program or crash Paleo diet or low glycemic diet: most parties are usually buffet style, try to skip second plates and third plates. Also, try eating Paleo style, eating more vegetables, more turkey(TURKEY IS YOUR FRIEND), more water. You can eat these till you are full, leaving no space for unhealthy stuff.Though there are many diets available, this our number one recommended diet program, it is approved by one of the world’s best group of doctors..

4. Try a different recipe or modify yours: homemade foods can contain a lot of calories, try changing recipes or modifying your recipe by choosing healthier ingredients. Try a lot of healthy recipes, you can start by registering for the blueapron subscription.

5. Stop tasting!: Every bite counts! While cooking or setting the table, you may taste the food, now tasting once now becomes twice then three times and it keeps adding up,- till you lose track of counts, so just stop. All the tastes are calories adding up, so just stop! Besides, when you taste you may feel like tasting more and more and more- so don’t taste.

6. Try portion control: during the holidays, it is easier to fill up your plates with lots of delicious food, now try reducing the food portion or use a smaller plate so you know the quantity of food you are consuming. People who eat larger portions of food tend to gain weight faster than people who control their food portions. This program helps you to track your food habits.

7. Workout: get moving! During the holidays we have the “i will start tomorrow” mentality. While we just get relaxed, sleep all day, and become inactive, inactivity coupled with lots of food equals weight gain! So try working out, even if it is for a short duration.

8. Practice Mindfulness: Consciously choose what you eat, portion sizes, what you taste when and how you work out. Making conscious efforts can go a long way. Reduce distractions while eating. Chew slowly, that way you will know when you are getting full. Mindfulness helps you change your food habits.
